Hi, I am Ricardo Treviño Jr.

I've been taking photographs since I was in high school. I took a small break during my undergraduate career, but picked it back up towards the end of earning my bachelor's degree. When I was a graduate student, I was lucky enough to use one of my practicum experiences as a University Photographer. I've worked for Miami (OH) ever since and I couldn't be happier here.

A little bit about my education - I received my Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from California State University, Sacramento in Liberal Studies with a minor in Geology. I decided to continue my education and received my Master's Degree (M.S.) in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I am now finishing up my Ph.D. here at Miami University in Educational Leadership. Currently, I am serving as an Assistant Director of Residence Life and part-time University Photographer at Miami University.

My photography experience is not traditional, as you can see. I have never really had any formalized training (other than a few classes) in photography, but I have had some amazing mentors and friends to help me learn composition, lighting and post-production. They have helped me get my work published all over the place, including The Chicago Tribune, Behind the Curtain Cincinnati and several exhibition events. Some of my photographs have even won awards for their beauty. I don't think I would have come this far without the help of Jeff Sabo and Scott Kissell, who've really helped me develop, challenge and hone my skills as a photographer

I look forward to meeting you!
