I've been doing photography since I was in high school. I took a small break during my undergraduate career, but picked it back up towards the end of earning my bachelor's degree.  When I was a graduate student, I was lucky enough to use one of my practicum experiences as a University Photographer.  I've worked for Miami (OH) ever since and I couldn't be happier here.

A little bit about my education - I received my Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from California State University, Sacramento in Liberal Studies with a minor in Geology.  I decided to continue my education and received my Master's Degree (M.S.) in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  I am currently working as a Resident Director and part-time University Photographer at Miami University.

My photography experience is not traditional, as you can see.  I have never really had any formalized training (other than a few classes) in photography, but I have had some amazing mentors and friends to help me learn composition, lighting and post-production.  They have helped me get my work published all over the place, including The Chicago Tribune, Behind the Curtain Cincinnati and several exhibition events.  Some of my photographs have even won awards for their beauty.  I don't think I would have come this far without the help of Jeff Sabo and Scott Kissell, who've really helped me develop, challenge and hone my skills as a photographer

I am willing to travel up to four hours in any direction from the Greater Cincinnati Area.  I am from northern California (Pittsburg, CA) and return during the months of June and December (weeks vary).  I bring my gear back to California and I am willing to travel four hours in any direction from the Bay Area during the months I am back.

If you had to ask me what I enjoy photographing the most, it would definitely be portraiture and landscapes.  However, I am very versatile.  Being a University Photographer requires us to be extremely versatile and you'll notice my portfolio is quite extensive.

I am very active on my Instagram page.  The Instagram photo always gets posted on Facebook.  You can also find me on LinkedIn and Twitter.  Check me out on those social media sites!

I look forward to meeting you!
